SImpsonized Update

As Brandon pointed out, the Simpsonizeme.com website is quite popular. I found that it pretty much stalls after 5pm. As for the pictures you use, I found that a quick head shot works very well if you Photoshop the background a solid color to make the head stand out more. Think weatherman green screen. Of course I still trying to export the picture or email it. They offer the options but have yet to get them to work. I'll post the pics as soon as I get that to work. In the meantime I keep on trying to Simsonize the rest of the family.

I want to be a CABBAGE!!

Just an odd link I found this morning.

You know, I have my quirks. And yes, our family has it's own funny stories that only we get and think is funny. But, this is over the top! I first thought copious amounts of drugs or alcohol had to be involved but then I thought that there is way too much thought and organization to this. Click on the link, turn into a cabbage and tell me what you think.

The usual "it's been a while" post or cars and such

Yeah, yeah, I know I'm slack. But summer is here and life is busy. I do think of plenty of things to write about but rarely to I have the time to actually put digits to keyboard.

We bought a new car a few days ago. A 2008 Toyota Corolla. This a big step for me.... I've never had a car payment before. I'm a used car type of guy. Colonel Mustard (my truck) cost $2300, My most recent cars.....
2003 - 2006 :1992 Mustang ($1750)
2002-2004 : 1985 Cadillac Coup deVille (inherited from my dad when he bought a new caddy)
1999-2003 : 1981 Suzuki GS750E (yes this is a motorcycle and I did actually use this as my primary transportation for the summer of 2002. Grocery shopping with a backpack and saddlebags was always an adventure!)
2000-2003 : 1981 Chevy Malibu Classic sedan ($2500)
1997-2000 : 1988 VW Golf ($900, I LOVED this car.... I was in college and it took me everywhere!)
1996-1997 : 1979 Chevy Malibu sedan (free)
1993-1996 : 1980 Chevy Malibu station wagon ($800, Ah, the original Chuckwagon!! Remember the road trip of 1994 after camp)

Kimberly on the other hand has an ex-husband that would buy her a new car whenever the mood hit him or her. She's driven Bessy (our 1997 Windstar minivan) for the past 5 years. She starts school in a few weeks and will be driving about 70 miles a day, so we decided to bite the bullet and get a little fuel sipping run around car. We didn't trade in Bessy so we still have something to move all 5 of us in together in comfort. As much as I now dislike having a car payment the upside is that the Corolla will easily outlast the payments while getting thirty something mpg. We're hoping for 500 miles to the tank.

That's all for today. I do have a draft post of our Atlanta vacation. I hope to finish it up this weekend (a month late). Anyway, ta ta!
