September Musings....

Here's a little bit of what's been going on...
  • It's a little late but we had a fabulous time at Jeff Quinn's bachelor party in Myrtle Beach on Labor Day weekend. To sum it all up, we all had a fabulous time but definitely realized that we aren't 22 anymore. Remember those days?? 3 days & nights of fun definitely took a toll on me. After coming home on Monday night, I was spent until Wednesday, and didn't have a beer for a week.
  • On the up side, I did win $100 playing blackjack on a casino boat & found a great condo to stay at! If you want more info let me know and I'll forward the condo rental info to you.
  • As I am writing this, the Red Sox are about to be swept the the Blue Jays. Leave it to the September Sox to make me look forward to Patriots and Bruins season!
  • On a similar note.... it's great to see Bruins articles 4 straight days in the Boston Globe.
  • The garden is in full phase two. The only things still growing from summer are some Anaheim & Hot Banana peppers and some herbs. I planted some peas (Wando variety) hoping they will do better in the fall than spring and won't get burned from the SC heat. I also planted some cauliflower and cabbages along with sowing a few rows of swiss chard. We shall see how my first venture into fall/winter gardening goes.
  • The Corrolla got 39.7 mpg at the last fill up. Granted Kimberly drives about 70 miles on the highway each day going to school and back but I'll take that any day of the week. Much better than we expected.
  • I'm about to grout the tile in the 2nd bathroom. You remember the bathroom right? Well a year and a half later I hope to have the sink and toilet re-plumbed by next weekend (I have to work all this weekend).
  • How about those Gamecocks ranked #12!! Being a Gamecock fan is a lot like being a Red Sox fan, you're excited to see them win and be successful but at the same time are waiting for them to blow it and lose. We'll see what happens this week in Baton Rouge.
That's about it for now. I promise to try to update more. I've just been busy and tired.
